048. | theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush

This summer, I'm all about looking bronzed and glowing at all times. I have a solid natural tan going and I like to accentuate it with beautiful, bronzy products. theBalm's Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush is a new launch for Summer 2015. theBalm has quickly become one of my favorite niche beauty brands. Their products are very high quality and sold at a reasonable mid-range price. And I can never resist their adorable vintage packaging. I'm so happy I decided to pick this up. I have worn it nearly every day for the past two weeks, and don't plan on stopping any time soon. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

Balm Desert is a neutral rosy brown with subtle shimmer. I use this as a blush, not a bronzer. For me, Balm Desert has very strong rose/pink notes that would look very unnatural if used around the perimeter of the face like a traditional bronzer. I think this may work as a bronzer for those with very, very strong pink undertones in their skin.

Despite this, Balm Desert makes a for a beautiful summertime blush. The powder is extremely finely milled and easy to blend. It is very pigmented, and the tiniest bit of product goes a long way. This is a product for those with medium to deep skin tones. Fair skinned girls will not be flattered by this bronzer/blush.

Balm Desert comes in an adorable vintage compact. It contains 0.225 oz. of product and retails for $21. Click here to purchase.
