030. | Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze

In the past, I haven't had much luck with drugstore bronzers. For the longest time, drugstore bronzers were nonexistent. And when they finally started to appear, they were either too shimmery or weren't the best quality. Recently, I picked up the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze. Unlike drugstore bronzers I had seen in the past, this bronzer seemed to be solid in tone and texture. I was nervous because I wasn't able to test it before purchasing, but it ended up being fantastic and is now of my favorite bronzers! Keep reading for details.

The Rimmel London Natural Bronzer comes in four shades: Sun Bronze, Sun Light, Sun Dance, and Sun Shine. I picked up Sun Bronze because it was the darkest of the four and the most neutral in tone. As the name says, Sun Bronze looks extremely natural when applied. It goes on lightly, and can be built up to a medium opacity. In the pan, Sun Bronze has a slight sheen, but that does not transfer on to the face. When applied, the product looks neither shimmery nor matte. It truly looks like a natural tan. This isn't a product that would be a good for contouring. It is strictly a bronzer, in my opinion.

The consistency of the Natural Bronzer is smooth. The powder is not very finely milled, but it applies evenly and blends well. It is virtually impossible to make this bronzer look  muddy or overdone. If I had to, I could apply this without a mirror. Rimmel claims that the Natural Bronzers are waterproof. I don't know if that's true, because I haven't dipped my face in water when wearing it; but it is very long wearing and will stay on until I wash my face with a cleanser. The powder has a slight perfume scent, which you can only smell if you actually bring the pan to your nose. The scent disappears from the powder as soon as it is applied.

Overall, I highly recommend this product. If your skin tone is deep, I would skip this in favor of a darker powder. But if you have fair, light, or medium skin, I think this is a must have bronzer. It looks beautiful and natural, and retails at $4.99 for 0.49 oz. of product. The Rimmel London Natural Bronzers can be purchased at basically any drugstore. Happy shopping!

What is your favorite bronzer?
