067. | My Favorite Cold Weather Moisturizers

Happy November! This is one of my favorite months of the year because it's finally cold enough to break out the cozy sweaters, heeled boots, and deep red lipsticks. With the change in weather also comes a change in skin composition. My skin is combination-oily when it is warm and humid outside, but becomes much dryer as the seasons change. When this happens, I always return to my two favorite moisturizers, the Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer for day and the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream for night. 066. | Current Beauty Obsessions, Vol. 5

Over the past two months, I unfortunately haven't had the best luck discovering new products. I've been generally under excited about the newer releases. The one bright side to not experimenting with new products is that I've rediscovered some old favorites. Keep reading to see what beauty products I've been obsessing over recently!

065. | Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown

I'm excited to share a (relatively) new makeup product that I've been loving recently. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is a cult favorite in the beauty community, and the brand has recently come out with a new shade, Mad Max Brown. After discovering the original Tattoo Liner in Trooper, a black shade, I got rid of all of my other liquid liners and exclusively used that. So, when I saw a new shade was released, I just had to buy it. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

064. | Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara

I picked up the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara months ago during the Nordstrom Mascara Sale (buy two, get one free). This is the first product I've owned from Armani, and although I was turned off by the high price tag, I figured the sale justified my purchase. I was half-hoping that I didn't like the Eyes to Kill Mascara, only because I cringe at the thought of repurchasing a mascara this expensive. But both fortunately and unfortunately, I absolutely love this product and it is by far the best mascara I've ever used. Keep reading for photos and details!

063. | Lorac Unzipped Gold Eyeshadow Palette

A few weeks ago, I posted a review of the Lorac Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette. In that post, I explained I picked up two shadow palettes during a sale, and here is the second. The Lorac Unzipped Gold Eyeshadow Palette is a follow up to the original Unzipped Palette. The shadow quality and palette design are identical in both, but the original Unzipped Palette contains neutral mauve and bronze toned shadows, while the Unzipped Gold has gold and peach toned shades. Keep reading for photos and swatches of the Unzipped Gold Palette! (Click here for photos and swatches of the original Unzipped Palette.)

062. | Too Faced Lipstick Haul

To celebrate the beginning of October, what is (in my mind) the unofficial start of Autumn, I'm sharing a haul from a recent shopping trip where I picked up several fall-inspired lipsticks. A few weeks ago, Ulta was having a sale on the Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Creams. So naturally - and unnecessarily - I bought five. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

061. | Lorac Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette

Lorac Cosmetics had a Labor Day Sale two weekends ago, and I could not resist picking up two eyeshadow palettes. Lorac makes some of my favorite eyeshadow formulas and I am always about a sale. The first palette I picked up is one I have been lusting after for months, the Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette. Not only is this palette absolutely beautiful, the shadows are high quality and perform remarkably. Keep reading for photos and swatches.

060. | LUSH Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser

I have had the LUSH Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser for several months, but have held off writing a review because I could not decide how I felt about the product. There were things I liked about it, and things I absolutely hated. I hoped to develop a firm opinion one way or the other, but that unfortunately never happened. However, I can explain the pros and cons, and let readers decide for themselves if this product is right for their skin. Read on for my mixed review!

In this post, I share five tips, from nutrition to skincare to makeup, to achieve beautiful skin with a (99%!) natural glow.

057. | theBalm Time Balm Face Primer

My love of face primers and theBalm Cosmetics has been well documented on Champagne Daydream. I was shocked when I was browsing through my makeup collection and discovered that I didn't own Time Balm Primer, theBalm's vitamin-infused face primer. Luckily, this discovery was made around the time theBalm was featured in HauteLook, and I was able to get a killer discount. Keep reading for details of my new favorite primer!

056. | Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Rouge

One thing I love - day or night, any time of year - is a solid red lipstick. Red lipstick always gives me an extra boost of confidence and makes me feel a little more glamorous. I love how it is strong and empowering, yet simultaneously remains sultry and feminine. I've come across many women who have told me that they don't look good in red lipstick, or don't feel comfortable wearing it. I tell them that the problem isn't with red lipstick itself, but with finding the right shade and tone. Even now, while I have many, many reds that I love and that I know look flattering on me, I am constantly searching for my perfect shade. So, when I found this Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Rouge in the bottom of a swag bag I received at a party, I was excited to test it out. Keep reading for details!

055. | Lush Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask

Good morning, readers! After taking a brief hiatus from blogging to move out of my apartment, I'm so excited to be back and sharing product recommendations and beauty tips. I'm happily riding out the last of the lazy days of summer and anxiously awaiting the arrival of colder weather. Autumn is my favorite season in general, but it's also my favorite season for makeup. I have a lot of fun posts planned and I'm finally getting on a set blogging schedule - new posts coming at you every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, starting now!

But enough about me, and on to the star of today's beauty show. Today, I'm sharing one of my favorite gentle skincare products, the Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask. This product is perfect for sensitive skin, and for anyone who loves a gentle but deep cleanse. Keep reading for details!

054. | theBalm Time Balm Concealer

If you've read any of my other posts, it's probably pretty obvious that I'm a big fan of theBalm Cosmetics. I have a ton of their products and I am continually buying more. Recently, I ran out of the concealer I had been using for the past few months (Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Brightener) and I wanted to try something new. Luckily, this happened at the exact time theBalm was featured on HauteLook, so I was able to get the Time Balm Concealer at a great price. Keep reading for details!

053. | Five Longwearing Eye Products for Summer

In June, I published a post titled Five Longwearing Face Products for Summer, in which I talked about my favorite products for creating a oil-proof, sweat-proof base. Today, I'm following up that post with my recommendations for making your eye makeup last through the last of the sweltering days of summer. Keep reading for products and details!

052. | L'Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminious Makeup

I recently ran out of my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and I didn't have time to run to my Sephora and pick up a new one. Plus, I think my skin is slightly changing composition and it's not as oily as it used to be. I found the Double Wear to be overly drying on my skin and that it was emphasizing imperfections. So, I wanted a lighter, more dewy foundation, and I needed to find it at the drugstore. I ended up settling on the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup. L'Oreal is one of my favorite drugstore brands and I've loved almost all of their products I've tried. And this specific foundation seemed to have everything that I needed. Keep reading to see how it performed!

051. | My Morning Skincare Routine: Summer 2015

I've talked about skincare quite a bit on my blog so far. It's one of my favorite aspects of beauty because clear, smooth skin is the key to making any makeup product look and wear beautifully. Today, instead of talking in-depth about one specific product, I'm giving you a glimpse into my every day morning skincare routine. Keep reading to learn more!

050. | John Frieda Frizz Ease Styling Products

This weekend, I stopped by my local CVS to stock up on a few essentials, and I of course walked out with bags and bags full of things. I don't think I've shared this thus far, but I am crazy about getting a good deal. The entire range of John Frieda Haircare was buy one, get one half off, plus you received $6 ExtraBucks (store credit) for every 2 items purchased. So essentially, I purchased four products for about $13. (I technically paid $25 and received $12 back to use at a later date.)

But on to the actual products, John Frieda, especially the Frizz Ease line, has been my favorite budget haircare brand for as long as I can remember. I don't think you can find better quality at that price point anywhere else in the drugstore. While I love their shampoos and conditioners, as well as their other ranges of products (especially the Sheer Blonde line!), today I'm focusing specifically on the Frizz Ease Styling Products. 049. | Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

I'm excited to share the newest palette in my collection that I have not been able to stop using! The Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette is a collection of sixteen warm-toned, neutral eyeshadows. It is the sequel to the Original Chocolate Bar Palette, which contains eyeshadows that are lighter and more truly neutral in tone. The Semi-Sweet Palette is the perfect eyeshadow collection for summer. I am completely in love with this product and can't wait to share these photos and swatches.

048. | theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush

This summer, I'm all about looking bronzed and glowing at all times. I have a solid natural tan going and I like to accentuate it with beautiful, bronzy products. theBalm's Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush is a new launch for Summer 2015. theBalm has quickly become one of my favorite niche beauty brands. Their products are very high quality and sold at a reasonable mid-range price. And I can never resist their adorable vintage packaging. I'm so happy I decided to pick this up. I have worn it nearly every day for the past two weeks, and don't plan on stopping any time soon. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

047. | LUSH Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Skincare is the most important step in my beauty routine because having smooth, even, and clear skin is key to making any makeup product look its best. Face masks are great because they are more intense than an every day face wash and give the skin a deeper and more purifying cleanse. The LUSH Fresh Face Masks are somewhat of a cult staple in the beauty community, but I've only recently gotten around to testing a few out myself. The first mask I picked up is Cupcake, and after finishing an entire pot, I can safely say that it is one of my new favorite skincare items. Keep reading for details!

046. | BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

I'm excited to share my take on one of the beauty community's most buzzed about summer launches - the BECCA Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. BECCA collaborated with YouTube superstar Jaclyn Hill to create this limited edition highlighter. Champagne Pop is flying off of the shelves at record rates, so I suggest picking this up as soon as possible if you're interested! At the time this post is going live, Champagne Pop is available on Sephora.com and launches in Sephora stores July 16th. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

045. | Maybelline Summer Creamy Matte Lipsticks

I think I say this every time I blog about lipstick, but lipstick is my all time favorite makeup product. There is something about lipstick that makes me feel pulled together, feminine, and confident. So, while I already have dozens and dozens of lipsticks that I love and wear all the time, I'm constantly looking out for new shades and formulations.

In general, I don't buy a lot of lipstick from the drugstore because I haven't been too impressed with past purchases. It takes a lot for a drugstore lipstick to grab my attention. That's why it's a pretty big deal that I picked up not one, but four of the new shades of the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks. Continue reading for photos and swatches!

044. | My Travel Makeup Bag: Weekend Beach Trip

This past weekend, I took a relaxing, four day beach trip. I thought it would be fun to show what makeup products I took with me because the beach is an interesting place for makeup. During the day, I don't wear any product on my face (aside from suntan lotion, of course). But at night, I like to look pulled together and glowing when I'm out at bars and restaurants.

A lot of these products you'll recognize from my Current Beauty Obsessions, Vol. 3 because it was posted the day I left, and I didn't have time to find any new favorites. Keep reading to see all of the items I packed with me!

043. | Lorac Pro Matte Palette

I, along with everyone else in the beauty world, am obsessed with the formulation of Lorac eyeshadows. I had used my Lorac Pro 1 Palette so much, that I eventually had to get rid of it because it was basically all empty pans with a few bits of shadows left. I had been seriously considering repurchasing the palette, mainly for the incredible matte shades it has. The makeup gods were clearly on my side, because just as I was about to repurchase, Lorac launched the Pro Matte Palette. To no one's surprise, the Pro Matte Palette is just as incredible as Lorac's other shadows. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

042. | Current Beauty Obsessions, Vol. 3

Today, I'm sharing twelve products that I've been consistently using and loving for the past few months. I've done this twice before, and I think that this type of post is a fun way to share the best of the best beauty items in my current rotation. (Click here to read Volume 1click here to read Volume 2.) If I had to describe these products as a group, I'd say that they are products that helped me transition from spring beauty to summer beauty - a mix of cool toned light shades, warm bronze shades, and a couple of killer skin products. Read on to see what items I've been obsessing over!

041.| theBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer

With warm weather comes tanned skin, and when I have a tan I always desire a bronzed, glowy makeup look. I was going through my makeup stash recently when I realized that I only have a few highlighters, compared to the dozens of blushes, lipsticks, and eyeshadows, among other things. I quickly began browsing for my perfect summer highlight and I settled on theBalm's Cindy-Lou Manizer Highlighter, a peachy-pink shimmer. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

040. | Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

I recently did some mascara shopping when the Nordstrom "Buy Two, Get One Free" mascara sale was happening. The first mascara I picked up was the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara. I had received a sample of this a while back, and I wore it for about a month straight before it dried out. I remember wanting to purchase the full size, but the hefty price tag stopped me. Once the Nordstrom sale came around, I knew I had to get this. Keep reading to learn more!

039. | Five Longwearing Face Products for Summer

In the warmer months, having my makeup last and wear well throughout the day is my top beauty priority. For me, there is nothing worse than having streaky, patchy makeup running down my face. I've narrowed down five face products that hold up on my skin through heat, humidity, oil, and even sweat. Keep reading to achieve budgeproof summer makeup!

038. | MAC Midimauve [& Sunday brunch]

This week, I'll be trying a different style on a couple of my posts. In addition to reviewing a beauty product, I'll add a few lifestyle bits. So, today, I'm reviewing MAC Midimauve Lipstick, as well as sharing photos and details from my weekend brunch plans. Spoiler alert: Midimauve is one of my new top lipsticks, and brunch was delicious. 037. | theBalm Coconut Milk Cleansing Face Cream

theBalm is one of my favorite "under the radar" beauty brands. Every few months, their products are featured on Hautelook, a flash sale website, where items are discounted up to fifty percent. I normally pick up a few makeup pieces, but I recently branched out and purchased a skincare item. Keep reading to see how the Coconut Milk Cleansing Face Cream performs!

036. | Summer Fashion Essential: The Express Portofino Shirt

Today, I'm breaking away from my normal beauty-centric posts and sharing one of my favorite fashion pieces for summer. The Express Portofino Shirt has quickly become one of the most worn items in my closet. I purchase the majority of my clothing from Express. I like that they have a large selection of classic pieces, with a few trendier items thrown into the lookbook each season. Plus, the clothing is high quality and reasonably priced. Keep reading for details and photos of the Portofino Shirt!

035. | Essie Summer Collection 2015

Summer is my favorite season for nail polish colors. I love wearing bright pinks, peaches, and corals on my fingers and toes. I don't purchase too much nail polish because it's nearly impossible for me to finish an entire bottle. Plus, I always gravitate towards the same types of colors, so I try not to have too much overlap in my nail polish collection. However, I broke my rule after spotting two shades in the Essie Summer Collection that were so bright and fun that I couldn't not bring them home with me. Keep reading for swatches!

034. | MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Palette Vol. 1

In my mind, one can never have enough neutral eyeshadow. So whenever a new neutral palette hits the market, I'm always tempted to purchase. When I first saw the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Palette Vol. 1, I knew I had to have it. The shades and tones included in the palette are exactly the types of colors I go for. It's no wonder MUFE dubbed this collection of shadows "Nudes You Need." I had not tried any MUFE shadows before, but I had read enough positive reviews of the line to have confidence in my purchase. I have had this palette for about a month, and it has quickly become one of my favorite items in my beauty collection. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

033. | Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Cleansing waters broke into the mainstream American beauty scene about two years ago, and there has been much hype surrounding them ever since. Popular in European markets for decades, cleansing waters promise to gently remove makeup and cleanse the face in one simple step. I had always wanted to try a cleansing water, but not badly enough where I was willing to pay premium shipping rates to import the much-talked-about Bioderma from France. Finally, US based beauty brands started adding cleansing waters to their lines and I picked up the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water as soon as it hit the shelves. Keep reading to see if it lived up to the hype!

032. | MAC Lipstick Haul

Lipstick is my absolute favorite makeup product. While I try to keep my makeup stash to a relatively reasonable size, my lipstick collection is enormous and continues to grow. MAC is one of my favorite lipstick brands because of their wide range of colors and formulations. Recently, I picked up three new shades from the MAC counter. Keep reading for photos and swatches!

031. | Essie Peach Daiquiri

Essie Peach Daiquiri is a coral cream polish with pink undertones. While not extremely unique, Peach Daiquiri is one of my favorite nail colors for summer. I love that this shade of coral is appropriate for the office, but fun enough for a weekend at the beach. Moreover, Peach Daiquiri has the best formulation out of every Essie polish I've tried. The lacquer applies evenly and smoothly. I use two coats for full opacity. Once applied, Peach Daiquiri lasts for about ten days on my nails with minimal chipping.

What is your favorite nail polish for summer?

030. | Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze

In the past, I haven't had much luck with drugstore bronzers. For the longest time, drugstore bronzers were nonexistent. And when they finally started to appear, they were either too shimmery or weren't the best quality. Recently, I picked up the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze. Unlike drugstore bronzers I had seen in the past, this bronzer seemed to be solid in tone and texture. I was nervous because I wasn't able to test it before purchasing, but it ended up being fantastic and is now of my favorite bronzers! Keep reading for details.

029. | Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser

I have a relatively complex skincare routine, which includes separate cleansers for morning and night. In the morning, I like to use a lightweight cleanser that brightens my skin and makes me look more awake. For the past year, I've been using the Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser. I first picked up the product on a whim. I had used and loved other products from the GinZing line, and figured this was worth trying. Since then, I have repurchasd the GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser at least four or five times. Keep reading for details!

028. | Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette

For my final post of #PaletteWeek, I'm talking about the much-hyped Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. I had heard such good things about this palette from those who had received press samples, that I placed an order on Sephora's website virtually the minute this palette became available. Although I don't have many Kat Von D products, those I do have are absolutely fantastic. All in all, I had extremely high hopes for this product. Keep reading to see how the shadows performed.

027. | Marc Jacobs The Lover 220

For the second post of #PaletteWeek, I'm showing a new, limited edition eyeshadow palette from one of my all-time favorite brands, Marc Jacobs Beauty. The Lover 220 is a limited release from the Style Eye-Con No. 7 - Plush Shadow range. This range carries seven permanent eyeshadow palettes, with seven shades in each. The most popular palette, and my absolute favorite palette on the market, is The Lolita 206. (I mentioned this in Current Beauty Obsessions, Vol. 1.) When I spotted The Lover on the Sephora website, I instantly knew I needed it. Keep reading for details and photos.

026. | MAC Nordstrom Naturals Palette

Welcome to Palette Week! On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I'll be reviewing an eyeshadow palette that has recently launched. I'm starting with the MAC Nordstrom Naturals Palette. This limited edition palette is a collection of fifteen eyeshadows from the permanent MAC line. This palette is perfect for someone who doesn't own many MAC shadows and is wanting to test out the shades, at a significant discount. Keep reading for swatches and details!

025. | Organix Argan Oil Elevated Finish Spray

A few posts ago, I raved about the Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray. (Click here to read that post.) Although I absolutely love that product, I've been searching for a more affordable alternative. So far, the Organix Argan Oil Elevated Finish Spray is the closest I've come. The product is a medium hold hairspray that leaves the hair smooth and soft, yet keeps it in place. The argan oil acts to give shine and nutrients to the hair. Plus, argan oil is extremely fragrant, and leaves hair with a sophisticated, deep scent.

While this isn't the best hairspray I've ever used, it is the best drugstore hairspray I've used. I recommend this to anyone that wants an affordable, flexible hairspray. The Organix Argan Oil Elevated Finish Spray is $9.99 for 8.5 fl. oz. and can be purchased here.

024. | LOFT D'Orsay Flats

There's nothing I love more than a great pair of shoes. That's a lie. There's nothing I love more than a great deal on a great pair of shoes. So after I found the LOFT D'Orsay Flats marked down to $35, I quickly swiped my credit card, ran home, and jumped on my blog to share the news. Now, I'm sitting at my desk, flats on my feet, trying to quickly come up with a quality review. Keep reading for my first impression!

023. | Milani Color Statement Lip Liner

As I've gotten older and began wearing lipstick on an almost daily basis, I've realized how important a good lip liner is. It provides a smooth base for applying lipstick, and keeps the lipstick from feathering or fading too unevenly. Even though lip liner is necessary in my beauty routine, I don't like shelling out a bunch of money on liner. That's because I use it with a lipstick, not as a stand alone lip product. But, until recently I haven't been able to find any quality drugstore lip liners. And then I came across the Milani Color Statement Lip Liner. Keep reading for details on this amazing product!

022. | Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum

Serums have never been a staple item in my skincare routine. Yes, I have used them and some I've liked a lot, but they've never been as crucial for me as cleanser, moisturizer, or eye cream. One of my biggest problems with serums is that most are anti-aging, and anti-aging ingredients tend to be very pricey. While I have used skincare products that are anti-aging, it is hard to feel justified in spending money on preventing fine lines and wrinkles when I'm only 22.

The Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum caught my eye with its slogan: "Is your skin having a quarter-life crisis?" The product is designed for the period after the teenage hormonal acne phase, but before the intensive anti-aging phase. This spoke to my skincare needs perfectly, so I couldn't resist picking up a bottle. Keep reading for details!

020. | Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing

Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing. That's quite a name, isn't it? With such a long name, making a lot of promises, I figured this primer had to be magic. Recently, I gushed over the Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer (linked to post), and I had thought I had found my holy grail primer. While I still do enjoy that product, I discovered that my T-Zone seemed to produce oil throughout the day, even with the primer applied under my foundation and powder. So, as I was about to escape to Southern Florida for a much needed vacation, I wanted to pick up something a little more heavy duty to combat the heat and humidity. Keep reading to see how the Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing performed.

019. | OPI Kermit Me to Speak

PSA: I have found the most gorgeous, interesting, unique nail polish ever made. OPI Kermit Me to Speak is a silver-taupe-purple-pink-green duo chrome shade. See, I told you it was insanely one-of-a-kind. This photo (taken in artificial lighting) shows the silver-taupe side of the spectrum. In natural light, it is a radiant metallic purple with hints of pink. The polish gets a more green cast in sunset and dim lighting.

Kermit Me to Speak is a very thin polish. It took me three coats to build full opacity. However, although the polish is thin, it applies very evenly and smoothly. I don't mind working with a watered down consistency for this gorgeous color result.

Kermit Me to Speak is from the OPI Muppets Most Wanted 2014 Collection. Although this collection was limited edition, Kermit Me to Speak can still be found on Amazon (at a discounted price!) and other beauty suppliers. I highly, highly recommend this product. Pick it up before it disappears forever!

What is your favorite duo chrome polish?

018. | NARS Blush in Lovejoy

On a recent trip to Sephora, I foolishly walked past the NARS counter and was completely sucked in by the gorgeous blushes on display. I thought I would be able to take a quick glance and move on, but I was obviously very wrong. Once I found Lovejoy, I knew it was coming home with me. Keep reading for product details!
